Walks, Laughs & Community: Why Our Groups Feel Like Home
At AMAT, we know something special happens when people come together — especially outside, under the Albury-Wodonga sun.
Whether we’re walking along the leafy paths near Noreuil Park, grabbing a cuppa after a group gym session, or playing a game of seated soccer in our community room (yes, it’s a thing), our group programs are where movement, connection, and joy come together.
Because sometimes, progress looks like a bigger step forward.
And sometimes, it looks like a bigger smile.
Let’s Take a Walk
Every week, our team hosts guided community walks designed for all abilities.
It’s not a race. It’s not a bootcamp.
It’s a chance to move at your pace, have a chat, and breathe in the fresh river air.
Participants say these walks make them feel:
- More connected (to others and themselves)
- Less stressed
- More confident taking steps toward their NDIS goals
Our NDIS group programs aren’t about fitting into someone else’s idea of success they’re about building routines, strength, and friendships that work for you.
If you’re looking for support that feels more like mateship and less like a to-do list, come walk with us. Try a group. Bring a carer or a support coordinator. Or just stop in for a coffee and a peek.Whether it’s a gentle stroll or a full-body belly laugh, we’re here for it.Because here at AMAT, we believe movement is more than medicine it’s belonging, connection, and fun.
